Linux does wine supports virtualdub??

I run these apps on windows...thinking of a move from windows to linux.
but i need following on linux to work
1.virtualdub
2.h.264 codec + mp3 codec
3.Videoredo Suite
4.ComproTV PVR

will i be able to run all these on linux?

Yes Wine supports Virtual dub Wine AppDB - VirtualDub

As far as Linux codec .. Linux has its own codecs known as gStreamer and Xine. You can choose any one of them. Gstreamer support Gnome while Xine support KDE.. So it depends on the Desktop Manager you use

MythTV This will do your PVR and Videoredo work I guess or check this OS with Myth TV pre-installed | Mythbuntu

You should have a look at AVIdemux. It is afaik designed to be a VDub clone. It is quite powerful atm and still growing.

In addition you can look at various other options

transcode, mplayer/mencoder, mjpegtools, gstreamer

i am just giving out the names, rest and be found with a bit of googling

IMO, better use native apps other than using windows apps via Wine.
