DELL ST2220L Review

Guys this is my first review. pardon me for my mistakes.:)

So lets begin -

I was to get a monitor as a B'Day gift from my parents. i considered Samsung P2350, DELL ST2220L, Samsung B2230, Benq G2220HD. searched hard for samsung P2350 but it wasn't available anywhere at smcinternational.in, theitwares, primeabgb. B2230 reviews were good. benq reviews were ok. and at that time the ST2220L was a new entrant to the market. only one review was there which was good. so i decided to take risk and go with this.

Ordered this from smcinternational.in for 8750 including taxes. shipping was 200 bucks.

Thanks a lot to the Owner of the thread for his nice elaborate review, I want to know as a confirmation to the user of this monitor,

Is it supports/handle multiple signal input at the same time ? like I select HDMI signal or VGA without disconnecting the source from the back OR without shutting down any of them ? Is it possible ?

Please Reply......Thank You.

I got 2 desktop 1 with VGA and other with HDMI via GFX card. Can I use them both by seeing alternatively each one without turning them off or disconnecting ?

Here I'm answering my own que, as if anyone got the same situation like me......and want this VFM stuff badly.

All of my question answer is "YES", It can do all of that,It can handle 3 source of the signal continuously.

I'm surprise to see it even carry HDMI audio and throw it out via Line out jack, Great indeed.

For my situation here is the place user need to go and do the switching (Input Source can be assigned in Short Cut Key) and it is very easy to perform.

P.S:- Now this monitor comes with DVI Cable (in-the-box) along with VGA cable plugged into the back as well as other stuff.

Got this monitor for sis's desktop. It looks visibly smaller then my Samsung P2350 but otherwise it is fine. Picture quality is at par with the P2350 (though my monitor has started to bleed at the edges after 3 years), and as the previous poster said, DVI cable is included now.

My only qualm, was the monitor came attached with a VGA cable, and it was attached very tightly. Could not get it out, and had to pull it out including the screw attaching it, no damage but in the event I have to use the VGA port it would be an effort fixing the attache screw back inside.

BTW this review comes up at top of Google search
