Re: Call of Duty Black Ops Discussion Thread.

This game is unplayable on my Intel P4 3ghz proccy, xfx9600gt 512mb & 1.5 gb.

Getting an average fps of 2-9fps(no joke) on low settings and 1920X1080 reso(i have tried the lower reso.) :(

Medal of Honor runs just fine at 1920X1080 and medium settings.

Has anyone tried the patch that is out. I didn't require the patch. Was working fine on my setup.

As I told before it isint as good as mw or mw2. I guess the developers got some ideas from the movie salt.

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops Discussion Thread.

ok actually shutting down all the back ground apps works :p btw this game is like a masala movie :p explosions everywhere and the narrative is quite good i think this is the first cod to show the point man anyways it is a great game the game is supper smooth every thin set to extra except for anti aliasing which i keep it at 4X for this game its graphically the game is nice scripted events and set pieces are good iam in he vietnam mission now :D

Hmm okay. I didn't know that version was shitty too lol.

Not really. In fact, it performed way better than the PC version. It's just that I always refer to 360 as 3shitty. :p

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops Discussion Thread.

The 'update1' patch helped a LOT. It improved the game's performance quite a bit. Also i read changing the multi GPU setting to 0 and multi cpu setting to 1 in cfg file - that too helped.

Now the game is running absolutely fine at 1280x960 with 2xAA and high textures. I've a 5770 but i'm bottlenecked by C2D E6300.

Loving the game.

Talk about shitty game making on the whole. The game looks average on the 360 (thanks to its lack of any real muscle like a PC) & looks like uber flying space crap on a PS3 ( Thanks to its tough coding environment/3Shitty Console port Syndrome) . Dear developers why cant you just concentrate on the PC or the PS3 as the primary development base ?

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops Discussion Thread.

So I applied the update and guess what, still no improvement on the stuttering. At this point, I'm not sure why I'm even testing the PC version.

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops Discussion Thread.

Seems this game needs a quad core cpu and 1 gb video memory. On 1024x768 on all highest settings on my 4850 512mb, apart from stuttering, fps was about 30 or below. Turned down corpses to small, textures from extra to high and antialiasing none and vsync off. Now it'd doing well. Stuttering is completely gone and fps is good, averaging more than 40 or so. So, video memory seems to be main throttle.

Re: Call of Duty Black Ops Discussion Thread.

I m playing the game on my Crappy Lappy..With a C2D P8600 2.4Ghz and a Ati 3650 256mb..I get fps around 45-60 most of the time but there are massive frame drops for every 2mins or so..But still very much Playable!

Campaign is ****in incredible, the way the story is narrated jus blows my mind! And it has a lot of epic moments than any other game had..Gameplay still feels good! A lot of servers are availablea good amount of server suit the indian crowd..Registry decent..But some players jus warp around in servers :p

The Multiplayer Couterpart performs a lil better..Where the fps hovers arnd 50-75 but still I get the massive frame drops here n there..Mp is uber kewl Better than Mw2..

My ranking of cod series
Campaign: BO>=MW>MW2
MULTIPLA: MW>BO>MW2
