Hey guys

Finally all the parts are here for my Battlefield 3 build.

Here are the specs of the build:

CPU: Intel Core i7 2600k 56x Golden (The current king)

MOBO: MSI P67A-GD55 (Best feature packed LGA 1155 board at an affordable price)

CPU Cooler: SPire Thermax Eclipse II (Comparable to D14 in cooling prowess but is much lighter)

RAM: 4GBx2 Corsair XMS 3 ( Only choice as cant get taller RAMs due to the Cooler, OCs to 1866 CL9 @ 1.6v too)

GPU1: Powercolor HD 6950 2GB (Reference model & Unlocks to a HD 6970)

GPU2: Sapphire HD 6950 2GB Dirt 3 (Non-ref model but OCs great and runs very cool & quiet)

Case: NZXT Tempest EVO (Airflow king under 6k)

PSU: Corsair TX 850V2 (Best non-modular PSU around plus Corsair ASS is superb)

TIM: Arctic MX-2 8g (Bought from Prime for just 350 bucks shipped)

What else will go into the build:

DELL ST2210 or DELL U2311h from my primary RIG but most likely it will be the ST2210 due to its faster response.

Seagate 500 GB Sata 2 7200 x2 RAID 1

120 GB OCZ VTX 3 from my primary rig.

great build and a great choice of components, my only question is why you did not pickup a z68 based mobo??

but otherwise its a great great build :)
 
the price premium over p67 just for integrated graphics and the iffy SRT was not worth it. Moreover using the lucid virtu results in 4-5% performance penalty when using discrete graphics. It was something I was not comfortable with. Also since my primary drive was a fast sandforce based sata3 ssd, srt was not much useful to me.

Wow dev awesome stuff,no need to light crackers this diwali cause you are gonna xfire up the environment:hap2:!!Great thing you bought 6950 by saving 2k.
 
yeah dude, crysis 2 at all utra and a fluid 60 fps is stuff of legend man :D

Metro 2033 at 1080p with 4xAA and Tessellation+DOF gets me 60 fps vsynced.
