12th and 13th gen Intel processor have made a huge leap forward and atleast in the budget segment I think you should consider Intel
There's barely any any difference between Zen 3 and Alder Lake for OP's needs. Going the Intel route will add more to the PC cost.

Alder lake i3 is good enough for day to day tasks as it has 4 performance cores/8 thread so I'd say not much increase in price. And it has better upgrade path as it's newer.

If 6c/12t is mandatory - you may have to go i5 which I'd say it's unnecessary as the answer lake i3 is more than enough for day to day tasks and triumphs the ryzen counterpart 5600 in benchmarks for to it's higher single core performance.
For the cost of an i3 I would get a 6c 12t in Team red hence went for the same

Just check some comparisons - no of cores is still relevant but there is more to it - single core performance is way high for alder lake chips and has its upside.

@BullettuPaandi & @kalph09 thanks for the suggest the total on amazon is 29k the current setup. but my dad would use this machine for say the next 5 years what about future proofing the ryzen 3 is around 1.5 years old already is a 3rd gen i3 laptop which failed today
what about DP-MATX-MATREXX30-SI cabinet... What about Deepcool PSU
Cool. Didn't know about the cost at checkout and was just trying to cut costs as you mentioned your budget is under 30k. For your use case, I don't think you need to worry about future proofing. If you want to, you can see how 5yo processors of today, say Ryzen 2600 or Intel 9600k, perform today to see for yourself if you'd be ok with such degradation in performance. As long as the units you'd receive don't have any defects and you have a tried and tested PSU & maybe a UPS, PCs are much less to prone to such failures, as thermals are managed better and there's no battery health issue to be concerned of.

Amazon isn't the best place to buy PC components, I would recommend looking into bigger names like MD and Vedant Computers to get the lowest prices.
Consider this as a starting point - https://pcpricetracker.in/b/s/a8c0d705-b2a1-4867-9dbc-b90ce14ae2cc
Or this for an AMD build. - https://pcpricetracker.in/b/s/4bedd8a1-68d9-4834-a84b-ee555b382dce

Not sure if you need more power than this, if an ameature radio can run on decent specs, better RAM and SSD would bring very little difference while costing a bit more.

Forget future proofing now, PC hardware change too fast, so its best to buy whatever available now. Both the i3 10100 and Ryzen 5 5600G are plenty enough for simple usage.
Anyway, as @DestGod has pointed out, look out for cheaper, sometimes even other (amazon might not have all the components available in the market), options as well. You can use the pcpricetracker to search from all available stores in India.

pls suggest 6c 12t within 30k
For a 6 core pcie 4.0 build, you can go with the following.

Ryzen 3600
Gigabyte B550M DS3H
450 Watt PSU
Deepcool CC560 Case
8 GB 3200Mhz RAM
500GB SSD
Any GPU you can afford

If you get an used 3600, You can go with a used GTX 1060 or similar. If you go with a new 3600, you can squeeze in a used GT1030.

I3-12100 - 10k, can go 12100f if you are getting a GPU but not necessary
Asus h610m - 7k, can do asrock b660 for 4k more
Corsair vengeance 8gb ddr4 - 2k
Cooler master mwe450 - 3k
Case - Antec nx200m -2.5k
SSD - Cruical p3 500gb - 2.5k
This, except for swapping out the SSD to a WD SN570 and using RAM in 4GB x2 configuration. Dual channel does give you a substantial speedup.
Pick up a case and SMPS from TE instead, the savings you can put into a B660 motherboard which also gives you decent future proofing.

No it doesn't. It's a waste to go for 4x2. Single 8 GB is better and will allow the OP an easier upgrade path if and when they want to upgrade to 16 GB. Not to mention that most good brands have stopped producing 4 GB sticks,so availability is poor.

1. Ryzen 5 5600 - 14k
2. MSI B450 - 6-7k
3. 8 gb ram, you can upgrade it later on, but should be fine for radio software imo - 1.9k
4. 450 Watt PSU Gigabyte - 2.5k
5. 240gb ssd - 1.5k
6. Antec AX20 - 3k

Should be a decent build, around 30k.
That system won't show any display without the dedicated GPU, don't listen to his advice. You can go for a 5600G which has iGPU inbuilt eliminating the need of a dedicated Graphics Card.

Keep in mind that the 5600G doesnt support PCIe 4.0.
why would he need a PCIe 4.0? I guess it's best to go with a B450M and not overspend on the motherboard since AM4 is the last update path with a 5600G. Invest in better components like a good tier PSU, better storage as someone suggested SN570. If you want to have a micro atx build check out the Antec NX200M cabinet.

So you did end up overshooting your budget by quite a bit.

I do think you made an excellent choice in terms of the components and this will serve you well for quite a few years. Congrats on the new build.

thanks, I did overshoot my budget a bit as I wanted to get a router UPS separately for my router cause of the frequent power cuts in tamil nadu madurai I ended up getting a 1kva ups and plugging everything in :p
