1. Q: Budget?
A: Around 10k
2. Q: Preferred Form Factor(flip, bar, slider)?
A: Bar
3. Q: Preferred display type?
A: TFT (preferably WVGA resolution, HVGA is ok)
4. Q: Do you have any brand preference or dislike? Please name them.
A: Sony, HTC, Micromax, Karbonn
5. Q: Preferred input method (Touchscreen, QWERTY, etc.)?
A: Touchscreen
6. Q: Camera required or not? If required, please specify type like front camera/flash/etc.
A: 3 or more, preferably with LED
7. Q: Preferred operating system? (Android, Symbian, iOS, Windows Phone etc).
A: Android 4.0
8. Q: Preferred connectivity options? (3G, Wifi, Edge etc).
A: 3G, Wifi, Edge etc
9. Q: What is your intended use for this phone(internet, camera, multimedia, mails, etc)?
A: Calls, playing games and whatsapp, some internet and occasional gps
10. Q: Any other requirements?
A: Dual-sim preferable, but single will suffice
11. Q: If you have already considered a phone then please mention the model.
A: Sony Tipo/Tipo dual, Karbonn A9/11, Idea ZTE Blade, HTC Wildfire S, among others
This phone is for my mom, who will mainly use it for calling, whatsapp and playing games such as Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, Where's My Water, Temple Run, etc. Therefore, I require a phone with decent performance, good touchscreen response and a GPU (Adreno 200 or equivalent bare minimum).
I think a 3.5" screen would be the idea size, anything bigger would just be uncomfortable for her to handle. WVGA resolution would be a huge bonus, but I think most phones in this range are HVGA only.
I am open to considering Indian brands such as Micromax or Karbonn, but the exact specifications are not always available. Especially regarding the GPU, which as mentioned above, is necessary.
Camera is not that important, although an autofocus shooter would be nice.
So far, I've considered the Sony Tipo single/dual, but apparently there are issues with touchscreen response. HTC Wildfire S is nearly 2 years old and EOL. Don't know how it performs. I haven't been able to play with any Micromax or other Indian brands.
I mean to buy this quickly, the maximum I can delay is till Monday morning. Would appreciate some quick response.
Thanks,
Maestro
