CPU/Mobo ALC888/ALC889A/AD18xx

AD is used in asus boards only

ALC889A is the best out of 3
right?
i amlooking for a budget class board with ALC889A
gigabyte has many but are those available in lamington

ALC888 is used widely by most others but would prefer 889

there are some intel boards with AD onboard as well

Of course , the best is sigmatel. My office pc has it. It's amazing

AD 1988B is infirior to STAC9271D

but some how is ACL889A compared to sigmatel

889 is Gigabyte custom version of 888. Functionality is identical.

All Realteks are cr@p, without exception. Sigmatel 9271D on the Intel board is the best. Games have *real* surround and stereo ain't too bad either.

AD is somewhere in between. Not too hot on surround and OK quality in music. Nothing to write home about but listenable for games (not for music).

Realtek are garbage. OK, I already said that.

mine Sigmatel is on an amd mobo. nvidia quadro NVS 210 (aka the geforce 6100

)

sadly its a dell system, and you cant get the mobo elsewhere
