from the international roaming information link. Perhaps one can call airtel and ask them to unlock their iPhone 3G IMEI in apple's database, so that we may be able to use it abroad.

Search on google for it. You wont find any unlock information on TE.

We are talking only about iPhone 3G "bought from Airtel".

n i guess by 2morrow they shud be launching ultrasn0w for the same purpose.

They definitely have the right to unlocked them. But the conditions are unknown to us. Maybe someone should contact someone and try to get some information regarding it.

I think we can take the issue to consumer court if they dont do that
