Today i am going to lamington to purchase psu and 2.1 speakers for my current rig.

intel dual core e2140
gigabyte g41 board
transcend 1gb ddr2
gt 240 ddr5 gfx card
seagate 250gb hdd
i ball psu 400w

My budget is 2k for both and looking for vfm psu and 2.1 speakers
let me know asap

i am getting Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus 350W for Rs1500 and logitech z103 @ 750rs

can this psu handle gt 240 at load and will both be a good buy...

please reply quickly

and which one would be better
Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus 350W or FSP saga II 350w

both are priced at 1500rs approx.

Wait for other members reply before buying,

imo 400w-500w from Corsair/SeaSonic would be good for your system in long run.
 
I posted here because the rules said not to start new threads on same topics. Anyhow if I did a mistake in postingplease forgive me as this is my first post.

I am assembling a new system having following specifications:

Intel i5 2500

Intel motherboard DH67BL

AMD 6850(probably sapphire make..)

1 TB 7200 rpm HDD

4 GB X 2 ram

During my research I got an idea I would require a dedicated SMPS and of at least 500 Watt.

But the page at AMD says that 6850 requires at least 500 Watt SMPS, so what about other components?

Please help me to decide the wattage of SMPS?
