PC Peripherals suggest me some good hardware for my new pc!!

hello,
Im going to buy a new pc.so can u pepl add in some hardware i missed out.or suggest me better one's.
My pc-:
1)pentium 4 or amd??which one is better?
2)intel motherboard
3)mointer im not sure..so pls suggest!!
4)what are gameing card's?which my bro wants to buy?pls suggest
5)keyboard??suggest
6)512 mb ram?which one is better?
n i want my pc to be fully equiped...so pls suggest all kinds of card's n tell me of what use they are.any help would be appericated from the hardware tech's here...it'ss better if its gonne be sooner as i'hve no much of time to spend at my office lan..

here goes..
AMD is better @ pretty much everything...
So and AMD 3000+/3200+ (socket 939 has to match with the board)

Intel will never make AMD based boards:p so go with any boards from Asus or MSI socket 939

512 MB (minimum) DDR 400 RAM (1 GB better)

ATI X600/NVIDiA 6600LE chipset based graphics cards for a non gamer..or a 6600GT (nvidia), X800GT (ATI) for gaming

160 GB HDD SATA

DVD RW (cause they're so cheap)

Nice Cabby (any decent brand)

450~500W PSU (any decent brand)

Now I would have given u a better descrip but I'm travelling today...so in a bit of a rush...our helpful TE members will carry on the tips....
 
RAM - kingston, transcend, corsair, twinmos
mobo - Asus, MSI, gigabyte (Intel for an Intel P4 CPU can also be considered)
Monitor - 17" LCD (Benq, samsung, sony) CRT (samsung, LG)
Note CRT 19" are good....LG 17" is a POS

graphics card: depends so many brands......leadtek, asus, msi, gigabyte all good....u choose....

keyboard :)P price decides this one)
