AMD Athlon IIx4 640 ~ 4800/-

Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H ~ 4400/-

Corsair 1333 MHz 4GBx 1 ~ 1900/-

FSP Saga II 400W ~ 1900/- OR Corsair CX 400 ~ 2500/- (for future upgrade-ability)

Cooler Master eLite 310 ~ 1500/-

BenQ E 2220HD ~ 8500/-

APC 650 VA RS-UPS ~ 2600/- (optional)

Sapphire HD 5670 ~ 5500/- OR HD 5770 ~ 6800/- (or add this component later down the line)

An Intel slant on this would be

Core i3 2100 ~ 5500/-

MSI-H67MA-E35 ~ 4700/-

(rest configuration same as above).

To stuff in a graphic card immediate, get Corsair ValueRAM 1333 MHz 2GBx 1 ~ 1200/- instead of the 4GB flavor.

A line-up of the Sandy-Bridge vs. Propus ~ AnandTech - Bench - CPU

AMD Phenom II X2 555 BE - Rs.4200
Asus M4A88T-M LE – Rs.4400
Corsair 2GB DDR3 1333Mhz – Rs.1000
Western Digital 1TB HDD – Rs.2600
Microsoft Keyboard / Mouse – Rs.700
iBall 7272 Cabinet (With SMPS ) – Rs.1200
Samsung DVD Writer – Rs.900
Samsung 2230 22â€LED monitor – Rs.8000
iBall Nirantar UPS-621V (600VA) - Rs.2300

Total - Rs.25,300/-

Sorry, the cost went overboard by Rs.300/- but I believe its well worth it. If you could find an alternate budget for the UPS, you can as well go for the following parts which would not only make the PC more powerful and stable but would also future proof it (USB3) to a certain extent.

AMD Phenom II Quad X4 840 - Rs.5000 (awesome quadcore cpu)
Asus M4A88T M/USB3 – Rs.5700 (USB 3 Ports)
Cooler Master 400w – Rs.1900 (stable power compared to smps which comes with cabinet)

Just my two cents. Hope this helps.

Which Cooler Master 400W Power supply are you recommending OP into buying, the eXtreme Power series, the FSP Saga II 400W is a much better choice.

Plus I think OP will be better if he buys a more future proof Sandy-Bridge (if he were to buy a Phenom IIx4 vs. Core i3 2100) set-up the gaming performance will be better too, the platform more up-to date ~ the LGA 1155 will support Ivy Bridge.

For the monitor, go for Dell 1920, it is the best.

Rest of the configration could be:

AMD X640 - Rs.4400
Gigabyte 785G – Rs.3400
SMPS - CX400 - Rs.2400
Corsair 2GB DDR3 1333Mhz – Rs.1000
Western Digital 1TB HDD – Rs.2600
Microsoft Keyboard / Mouse – Rs.700
iBall Cabinet (Without SMPS ) – Rs.750
LG DVD Writer – Rs.900
Dell 1920 LCD monitor – Rs.5400

And as you have some budget left, u can put that to buy a more powerfull mobo like Gigabyte 880G mobos with USB3 or you can buy a decent graphic card as per your choice.
