Seeking Guidance on Work-from-Home Setup Expenses

Hello everyone,
I have a situation I'd like some advice on. My organization is supposed to provide a stipend for our work-from-home setup, but it's not due until next year, in 2024. I need to buy a monitor for both work and personal use, and I can't wait that long.
I've already purchased a chair from a local dealer but didn't get a bill. Is it possible to ask for a bill from the dealer at a later date so I can cover this expense?
Additionally, I've come across a good deal on a used monitor. Is it okay to create a fake bill for the used monitor to seek reimbursement?
Another option I'm considering is buying a monitor now, using it, and then selling it later.
I appreciate your advice on how to navigate this situation.

Don't go the fake-bill route. If they want, they can fire you on the tiniest pretext. Write to appropriate people and get a written approval for buying stuff in advance.

You can get the bill for chair by asking the dealer nicely. Offer to pay them extra amount as they'll need to generate a genuine bill/invoice with GST etc.
