Well I was a happy man with my reliance connection but moving into a new house started a lot of new problems for me....No reliance or Airtel availability in my building....

So all i m left with is BSNL....

Have a 750 plus plan now...and just upgraded to 1350 Plus...

here are the problems...

1)Connection just stops after 1 hour and sometimes mins....
Only happens when I start utorrent downloads...

It started happening since a few days only.....previously downloaded 10 gb without any problems....

2) Frequent disconnects.... while chatting or surfing...
Will complain to BSNL too....but what might be the reason for the connection stop.....all the lights in the modem glow fine only the connection stops...works fine as soon as I turn off and turn on the modem

will try it.... i m noob in these terms....

what is the normal mode used

I remember seeing PPPoE in the modem page...

Go to

Advanced Setup->WAN-> Click "Edit" on VPI/VCI: 0/35... Move to the second page and Select "Bridging" in Connection Type. Save and Reboot the modem

See if this helps!

I faced the same problem around 6 months back.
I think this is due to the max no of connections set in uTorrent and has nothing to do with BSNL and everything to do with the modem.

Reduce the max connections in uTorrent to 250 and u should be fine I think.

Yeah I figured out the problem some time back....

Modem was the culprit....so i reset and reconfigured it.....it stayed ok for another 10 gb download and then its back again....:(

need to get a better modem i suppose....
