Do you still oil your hair/ scalp? Myths and Facts!

This question is haunting my mind after numerous visits to various doctors for hairfall treatment 1.5yrs back. So today decided to ask how you guys treat your hair and scalp.

Ayurvedic doctor told me to daily apply hair oil twice on your scalp with a gentle massage. And apply to your hair before shampooing.

Hair specialist/ dermatologist says its useless to apply any oil after a certain age i.e after 18-20yrs as it doesn't work and is needless to do so.
Instead simply shampoo every alternate day and apply our medicine if you are on any course.

General doctor says you must oil and shampoo regularly. Apply oil to hair before going to bed for hair shine.

And all agree to a common factor that you must have a balanced diet else no hair treatment is gonna work to which of course everyone of us agrees as well.:)

But rest its all confusion as to who is right or wrong in terms of oiling factor.

To start frown me, I shampoo twice a week and oil my scalp and hair once a week.

So whats your hair health fitnessmantra?:photogenic:

I dont apply oil at all. I read some where that oil will be produced by the body if needed, but if you start applying regularly then it will stop.

for scalp I find heena best.
Not the ones sold in packets, but the leaves you get from heena sherbs.
My years old scalp problem was solved after two/three times using heena.

I think it depends on the type of hair that we have, pollution and other factors, working environment and stress levels.
There are too many factors and one-solution for all is a myth.
In the future,i feel everything will be customized as per the person including the type, quantity and quality of food, exercises, work, etc due to increased self-awareness and tracking ability....:)
Or most of us will just get more dumb, lazy, socially isolated and ****ed up :stop:...Internet is the new idiot box they say!
