^^ I guess the mic doesn't work as the TRS jack on the e10m is not compatible with galaxy r. I used to own pl21 with mic and the mic used to not work in my galaxy r too. Though, it was working properly on my friends iphone 4!

^^If you read this thread over at the XDA forums Sound quality SGR compare to SGS and SGS2 you will find out that the Galaxy R uses the Wolfson DAC and not the Yamaha one used in the SGS2. So sound quality should be similar to SGS. And at OP SGR over SGSL any day :)!
