hello

I plan to install this fan for my router, exactly like shown in photo and Reddit link

Now Please guide me on which Noctua fan to buy from the attached screenshot and how to power that fan??

The 5V one or 12 V or 24V
and which connectors and adapters do I need to buy??

How do you plan on controlling the fan? Do you want to run it full power always or do you want to vary based on temperature?

If varying, how does the fan get the signal to vary RPM? If you have a board already, check whether it supports 3 (FLX) or 4 pin (PWM) fans.

If you're going to run it full power all the time, where are you placing this fan and how are you powering it?

If in a network cabinet, does the SMPS there support 5V?

Most server racks have 12V SMPS if I'm not wrong.

Choose between 5 and 12V depending on which is eeasiest and most accessible.

If by exactly you mean inside of a network/server rack then you should have access to either a USB port or a power socket to where you can plug in a USB charger.

In that case, you could make or buy one of these: https://www.amazon.in/CRJ-Voltage-Step-Up-Sleeved-Adapter/dp/B07QFG6LFR

If it's not in a rack, then you could use one of these: https://www.amazon.in/Fourdot-Cooling-Amplifier-Theater-Receiver/dp/B0BN2BHLSF

If you want to DIY it with an inexpensive 40mm fan you can use one of these: https://www.amazon.in/s?k=40mm&me=A1NLUBA7LER6WH

And splice it with a 12v power adapter: https://www.amazon.in/TAAPSEE-Adapter-AC100-240V-Transformers-Switching/dp/B08L55SFM1

Alternatively heres a 2x40mm pre-built option that runs off USB that you could probably take apart if you only need one 40mm fan: https://www.amazon.in/Fourdot®-Exhaust-Inch-Model-FDRGF240USB/dp/B0CR1WYVK4/

Or a 80mm one that runs off a power adapter: https://www.amazon.in/FourDot-Cabinet-Cooling-HomeTheater-Playstation/dp/B07R5KCN5F/

Personally, I'd use one of these: https://www.amazon.in/Portable-Compatible-Laptop-Smartphones-Desktop/dp/B0CCLL1DJB/

will do this and tell me one thing the noctua fan specification is 12v .5 amp so this adapter wont burn it I guess?

No, it'll be fine. The adapter is rated for 2 amps. I've used others like it to power low power PCs, they're mature but low cost designs.
