    Are the retaining nut(s) fully tightened? If the O-ring has not been properly aligned when installing, it is possible it got damaged when you tighten the nuts. In that case, you will need to find a replacement O-ring. Not sure if they are available separately.

    LG service Menu

    I have a 32LF20FR, made in Sept 2009. Tried all the mentioned key combinations, but still unable to get into the service menu. I tried OK(TV)+OK(Remote), Menu (TV) + Menu (Remote) etc. There is no "info" button on this remote. I read somewhere that one may need to try with a LIRC...

    Folks, perhaps OT in this thread, but if your US 60Hz clocks use the LM8560/TMS3450 clock chip, the attached circuit can be used to convert it to 50Hz. It will keep time with battery, as it uses a crystal osc. I have successfully converted a GE clock using this chip, and it works fine on 50Hz...

    Kaput LCD TFT Monitors

    Thanks Ashish. The LG 15" monitor model is LG L1552S. The LCD panel part number is LP150X08 (TL) (A1) and it has a 20 pin LVDS connector. Some versions of LP150X08 have 30 pins, which is not suitable here. The panel is 15" (square, not widescreen) and res is XGA - 1024x768 TIA!

    OC & Modding Custom LED

    Do not connect the LED directly to a source without a proper resistance, as excess current through it may kill it. There are lot of LED resistance calculators online, if you don't know how to do it yourself. This page has help/suggestions for typical values for diode fwd drop, current etc...
