hard disk size dont matter. both lappy or desktop will work. but write protect feature and no need for external power supply is required. also build quality is very important to protect it from accident fall. which casing is good ?

is external power supply for all portable hdds ?

i want a external harddisk. very cheaper and strong build quality is what i need. can i find one which can writeprotected ? thx
