I am not sure if that's even possible. I think the most you can get is the temp, speed, spin up time and other stuff like that. But I doubt if there is any program that will tell what program is accessing the HDD.

It's possible. There are two ways. One is the LightScribe method where the CD drive uses a laser to print images directly onto the CD surface. The other is using software to print CD covers that you can apply to the top of the CD.
