The point is, using Aida 3.20.2600 (almost last version) the drive ST2000DM001, 7200.14, 1ch164, firmware CC27 Thailand made is identified as 7200.12, the old generation that has 3 platters, however usind seagate tools it is correctly identified as 7200.14 with 2 platters and the speed tests...
Actually Aida gives false information on this issue. I have the same unit as Jashan. brought a few days ago.
