At which they failed spectacularly, the first 30 mins is exactly what makes the movie sh*t, gossip with a gay dude in a library and Batman behaving like a b*tch after getting laid aren't the best ways to adapt an iconic comic book.

Meh it was ok, people are overreacting like kids to cooties over the Batsex thing. It's quite silly.
Without the first 30 minutes I don't give a crap whether Barbara Gordon gets shot, even though I have read the GN.

Agree about the gay gossip guy, that added absolutely nothing to the plot. But Hollywood is pushing the LGBT agenda everywhere nowadays.
 
accidently watched jab tak hai jaan... remined me of the 80s movies where it was always the red wire that the hero cut just before the countdown. glad villains still make informative bombs with display timers and fancy leds all over
 
Zootopia: 7/10
Spectre: 5/10 - Was avoiding this since I hadn't liked skyfall much, watched it finally but this was even worse. Didn't like Cristoph waltz. Bellucci was wasted. So the only Daniel Craig bond movie I enjoyed was Casino Royale. Brosnan will always be THE bond for me.
P.S. The whole time I was wondering where I had seen the bond girl (Lea Seydoux) earlier. Later I googled and realized she was the not-so-good-looking one from Blue is the warmest color :eek:. Had to actually rewatch some segments (you know which ones;)) to actually confirm.

It did have a very promising start but it doesn't play out the way you expect it to which kinda leads to disappointment.
Those glowing reviews are exactly what raised my expectations as well, maybe you'll enjoy it more now that you have em lowered.
 
Spotlight : 10/10

I mean, heck. This is a pronto perfect movie. The plot is genuine, the themes are controversial, and the acting is superb. Way too good acting, by actors which we have seen in other movies. The way they unwind the ball of yarn, and piece it back bit by-bit, is thrilling to the celluloid connoisseurs and aficionados likewise....!

Leon The Professional - Bichchoo
John Wick
Man on Fire - There was a Amitabh Bachchan remake iirc.
Now You See Me - This movie's a scam in itself but you might enjoy this one.

These hindi ones any good ? i prefer post 80's english as they have a better quality print usually. zinda you mentioned has 4.9 rating on imdb. Revenge ones need some authenticity and intensity which most hindi ones lack with maggi ketchup dripping on the villains faces

Dude I'm recommending the English ones not the Bollywood adaptations, who'd want to watch that ? Although I do admit I watched Bichchoo first on TV when I was in school, years before I watched Leon.
I was mentioning their corresponding Bollywood titles so that you know what you're getting into if you've already seen the Hindi ones.
 
Cool Hand Luke - 8 If you loved one flew over the cuckoo's nest, you will love this one too. classic movie.
Rabbit-Proof Fence - 8 again. really good movie about australia's aboriginal girls escaping a camp to go back to their mom.

Some movies with a revenge theme:

1. Cape Fear.
2. The Hand that Rocks the Cradle.
3. Revenge (Kevin Costner).
4. Yojimbo ---> A Fistful of Dollars ---> Last Man Standing.
5. Rolling Thunder (more of a 'Nam psychoanalysis film).
6. Thinner (Stephen King).
7. The Crow (Brandon Lee).
8. Double Jeopardy.
9. Get Carter (1971 --- also has a version starring Sly Stallone).
10. Momento.
 
Rustom : 6/10. They had an exceptional plot in their hands, but instead littered it with stupidity. AK, acts well; and a great job by the director to make a mockery of India's courts. Maybe that is what the truth is. All the jokes and tomfoolery is shown in-court. Not outside.

Jungle Book : 10/10. Just watch it.
