Ship of Theseus - 9/10

What a movie! Amazing screenplay and storyline. I just loved the Monk's character and the way it was portrayed. For me, Monk>Stock Broker>Photographer. Unfortunately, the crowd in the theater was low and not many were aware of such a movie. And this has to be India's submission for the Oscar foreign-language entry this year, not a factually incorrect movie such as Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. And not something like Barfi either!

And as we were returning back, we spotted a brand new MH temp. registered Mini Cooper and a SLK200 roaring away. The exhaust note of the SLK200 left us speechless in the rick for sometime. :bored:

Watched today: 'Agora'. A very good movie, but not one of the best ancient movie I've seen. 6/10.
Watched 'Good Will Hunting' yesterday. Very nice one. 7/10.

The Conjuring - 9/10. A good horror movie after a long long time. Even thought there was nothing new in the story the movie was brilliantly made.

White House Down - 6/10 ..always been a sucker for mindless action movies ;) Though after watching so many Hollywood movies - somethings are really getting on my nerves ex. music playing super hacker, what the hell is with that.

The place beyond the pines - 8.5/10 --> Really good plot of the movie
42 - 7.5/10 --> Very inspiring
Oblivion - 7/10 --> Really good effects
Mud - 8/10 --> A masterpiece
Limitless - 7/10 --> Overall a good movie

Crime Story - 8/10
Finally a movie with bit of dark shades by Jackie Chan's standards.
The gen motif of humour resounding throughout the movie was pleasantly absent, No silly stupid Mr Nice guy all the time.
2/3 of the movie reeked of superb direction. Ending wasnt that spectacular but still a movie which now is a spl mention in the top 5 of my list for JC. I hope with time it might reach the top as well..

I wish Jackie Chan did more movies like this one.

1) Drunken Master 2
2) Project A
3) Crime Story
4) Police Story 4
5) Armor of God 2
6) Who Am i
7) Miracles
8) Project A2/Project B

I knew what was on the offer. I had my expectations set. It's a time pass movie with average music.
Even I was surprised when I saw some people actually praising Pacific Rim. For me it's the worst ever Hollywood movie. Even worse than Skyline. To each his own I guess :)
