Is the weekend coupon only valid on bank transfers and debit card payments? The moment I apply the weekend voucher, the credit card option gets disabled.
Yes, the terms and conditions for the coupon seems to mention that
Redeeming Your Coupon Is Easy!

ya i missed that thing about the weekend coupon.....

I have a question which is getting me a bit confused. Do eBay really make any money on transaction done with various coupons? Why I am asking is that on this weekend I bought a DSLR which company dealer is selling at 71k, was listed on eBay in 67.5k and after applying the 7.5 coupon I bought in some 62.6k. Now how much commission / paisapay fees the eBay would be charging that they would make money out of this transaction.

I can tell you I am buying things online since the time when no body was interested in buying online. I even bought things in early 2000 from Baazee.com, which eBay acquired to launch eBay India. But the amount of discount on costly items make me wonder how these kind of transactions generate money for eBay.

Anyone knows the secret?

Just today made payment using citi CC.. went fine without any issues! I selected debit card option, but entered CC details :)

No secret here. eBay earns from the listing fee + seller fees that they charge for the item. In addition, they also earn interest for the money that you pay, till the time it is transferred to the seller. Say you buy it on Tuesday, and receive on Thursday, and you confirm receipt on Monday, the seller would get the money on the next remittance date, that is, Thursday. That makes it 9 days that eBay had your money. That obviously earns interest.

Apologies to board members for being offtrack but this will be last post on this topic from my side.

@agantuk: The listing fees is 1% in the category it was listed, paisapay fees is 4.5%, so total is 5.5% + taxes. And the seller from whom I bought is a power seller and must be paying less than the amount quoted above. Whereas the discount I got was of 7.5%, the difference is of about 2%, so where is the profit in this kind of transaction?

Ebay charges upto 10-15% from sellers including shop charges additional charges for bold / homepage / multiple listings / category promotions apart from listing charges. So overall ebay is in profit of nearly 2.5%. Afaik paisa pay charges aree 6% + category fees+ listing fees for normal listing.

I once sold an iphone 4s for 35k and ebay charged me 2900 as various fees.
