Pantech Burst P9070 4G @ 8235/-

^ try with another sim , if it does not work return it , if you bought from ibhejo or ebay you are covered in warranty, if you bought from ishop then you will have to pay to ship it back & get i replaced .

I will try with another connection. Thanks for letting me know that ibhejo has return option.

By the time I got the phone, I did not need it anymore. I sold my phone to irfanlai who was kind enough to pay the entire cost.
The box was open as they needed to unlock it. The IMEI number on the box and the phone matched. I charged it overnight before delivering to irfanlai.

It was nice to deal with @Emil . Everything was well planned.

so,that mean all this comes to a close?no cheap 49$ cdma's no parallel imports and all?

wait,it says illegal in the america,so,we can still get phones, and unlock them here?

I think the point they're trying to make is they will make it illegal to unlock american carrier locked phones. dunno how this will end up.

The unlock law is applicable for phones made after January 26th 2013. The unlock law doesnt apply to phones outside USA. Once its shipped here there will be no issue in getting the unlock code from a unlock provider in the USA.

I don't think so. It appears that the law applies to all phones that remain locked as on Jan 26th 2013. The 3 months time had been given to owners of locked phones to get them unlocked before the law came into force.

Even if it is applicable after 3 months, I think it will affect everyone, including those who wish to buy burst or any other locked phone in future.

Heres what I got to hear from 2 unlock providers

"Due to the recent legislation passed by the Library of Congress for the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we are forbidden to unlock devices that were manufactured on January 26th, 2013 and later. We will not be held liable for unknowingly unlocking a device that was made from this date onwards. Phones made BEFORE this date are still 100% okay to unlock. This law can be completely ignored by clients outside of the USA in foreign countries. This is part of the DMCA ruling.

All U.S.A. customers seeking to unlock their phone fully agree to having purchased their cell phone prior to January 26, 2013. If purchased after January 26th 2013, then you certify having the carrier's permission to unlock your Mobile device, or unlocking a "legacy" or "older generation" cell phone out of contract."

HI EVERYONE!
I have got a solution for reliance gsm issue in pantech. After you insert the sim, wait for 5 to 10 minutes. One pop up message will come from Rworld says ' Requesting handset configuration' And there are two options - 'accept' and 'cancel'. Normally we accept the request and as soon as we accept, the sim will be shown as 'invalid' SO CANCEL THE REQUEST and the sim will work normally. =)
OH and yes, if you misses the pop up, it will accept the request by default, so do keep your eyes on it!
