Mate can you please test it as a 4k Monitor? Share your views & perhaps a video. Especially with MAC if you have. Also if you can find any info about whether it supports Chroma 4:4:4 (which is necessary for monitors)

A friend of mine is selling his 50 inch Sony W series TV for 50k to get this one. The only thing i hate are the flash sales. I guess it would be a good purchase considering the price point.

Saw the tv in action for a bit today. 720p video looked not so satisfactory (Slightly fuzzy. Content was being streamed), and that was something I did expected.

1080p or higher is the way to go after acquiring this television.

Seems to be a good choice for someone looking for a 40"+ TV.

Is it a good idea to sell my VU 55" TV to get this one?

OT: How much should I for my VU 55" 1080p Smart TV with manufacturer's warranty till Oct'2019.

So anyone who has got the tv, know which panel this tv has VA or IPS. To find out look at the shape of the pixel structure.

How is the Mi TV compared to other not so well known brands in TV space. The pricing of Cloudwalker and Kodak is same.

1. CloudWalker 139 cm (55 inch) Ultra HD (4K) LED Smart TV (CLOUD TV 55SU) : Rs 40,000

2. Kodak 140 cm (55 inch) Ultra HD (4K) LED Smart TV (55UHDXSMART) : Rs 42,000

3. Vu 140 cm (55 inch) Ultra HD (4K) LED Smart TV (LTDN55XT780XWAU3D_HDR) : Rs 53,000

I don't think it's worth it. Many users have commented that it barely has the video quality of a 4k tv.
Moreover I contacted xiaomi customer care for some more specs here's their reply below. -

Dear Lakshay,

Greeting from Mi India Customer Support. I am Itisweta.
I understand your concern, I will help you with the required information.

1.Mi Tv 4 support HDCP 2.2 version.
2. The Brightness of Mi Tv 4 is 200nits.
3. Mi Tv supports CEC option.
4.Mi Tv 4 support DLNA.
5. Mi Tv does not upscale the SD content, instead it stretches to the screen.

I am sure that above information is helpful. If you have further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We will be glad to assist.

200 nits brightness? That is very very low brightness and I'll rather buy the vu 4k uhd.
Samsung LG Sony though costlier definitely have better video quality.
It's just that at this price point it's a good buy.
