Which is the best flash drive?

We can pretty much work it out from the below benchmarks:

Motherboard: ASUS P8Z68-V GEN 3 / USB 3.0

I only know the prices in GBP - so I have used an fx rate of 88.51 to convert to Rs. - The Rs. price is only indicative, if its out by a lot we should start an import/export business ;)

There is more info with graphs and full reviews here.

I am waiting for a good review of the new Sandisk Extreme USB 3.0 - it should be faster than all of the above.

The Sandisk Cruzer Blade is known for its pathetic write speeds but this little one gave me a surprise! Check it out:

My last Sandisk Cruzer Blade 8GB gave me 3.295MB/Sec write speeds. I wonder what Sandisk did to the newer drives!

I wonder how fast it can go on a usb 3.0 port :D

Model: Sandisk Extreme USB 3.0
Capacity: 32 GB
Price: Rs. 2156

NTFS formatted; tested using an extension cable on a USB 3.0 port on the Asus P8-Z77 V Pro board.

Real world tests: A 9.01 GB .mkv file took approx. 1 minute and 43 seconds to be copied into the pen drive from a hard drive. The same file took only 52 seconds to be copied onto the desktop (advantage Samsung 840 Pro!). This thing is really fast!

Shall post the results on a USB 2.0 port later.

BTW your FAT32 benchies were quite a bit faster in random writes. Not sure about the impact of different file systems on flash drives. Any ideas? Maybe block size?

No clue Eddy. You should be the one telling me/us. :p

I posted just the NTFS screenshot since there wasn't much of a difference in the speeds.
