Laptops Upgrading my netbook worth it?

have a v basic netbook but it has started lagging a lot even on just chrome and firefoxx browsing. all i need it for is browsing the net and watching youtube/ few tv series. its a acer aspire one 725 model with a amd 1ghz processor and 2 gb ram. will upgrading ram to 4gb help me or is my laptop a lost cause now ?

Chrome would definitely get help with increase in RAM. But overall performance would more or less remain same thanks to 5400rpm drive. A 60GB SSD would help here.

Buy a new one or use a better smartphone instead if basic functions is using internet and such.
