Is it wise to get a Samsung ssd PM851 in this era?
I read Samsung has issues of Slowdowns after few weeks and we have to refresh the disk or format and re-install the os. Went through some research and on several forums learnt about this issue.
This phenomena is common with all Samsung ssds variants incl. the popular EVO.
In fact Samsungs own tool "Samsung Magician" doesnt support its own oem drives as well which can help counter such issues.
Also, on these forums found users suggesting use of some tools which help retain the speed for another few months or weeks but at the cost of the disks life. And this is to be a repetitive process for them unless a concrete firmware release fixed it for good...permanently.
Needs inputs from any ssds users especially Samsung.
