Current setup:
i5 2440
ASUS H67 MoBo (4 RAM Slots)
Corsair DDR3 XMS 3 2GB x 2

Got a new stick of Corsair Value Select DDR3 4GB RAM. So I fill up 3 slots out of 4. But I dont get a boot with 3 slots filled ( 4GB+2GB+2GB+BLANK) The MemOK LED blinks and no Display.

I get display with only any 2 RAMs inserted (4GB+2GB works)

My doubt is if the RAM needs to be in Pairs? I know this used to so with Old RD-RAM but is it true with DDR3 also?

You may try this.
1. Power on mains
2. Do not press power button on cabinet
3. press MemOK button
4. system starts with correct RAM config; repeat steps 1 to 3 if does not for 3-4 times by varying slots of RAM inserted.

I have Asus M5A97 R2.0 with 2*4GB Corsair Vengeance. System would boot showing 4GB 1333MHz. Above steps worked for me. I have google-ed for the issue and stumbled upon a thread on Tom's Hardware.
