Laptops Playing game while running BitTorrent Application

Hi Guys,

My laptops is fine with playing games, but if I run the BitTorrent(P2P) applications for downloading videos in the background at the same time, the internet speed becomes very slow. Any solution for this problem.
Any application i can use to balance both of them

every bittorrent client has an option to tweak up and down bandwidth. modify it according to your internet plan.

Use utorrent. It has an option to right click tray icon and set max. Download or upload speed.

Maybe, while playing that game it must be connected to internet and eats up your speed, so try windows firewall to block that game and see if the speed slows down or not.

Correct me if i'm wrong but isn't that supposed to happen i.e. using the internet for both gaming and downloading will slow both since bandwidth has to be shared?

Yup thats bound to happen unless you got hell of a speed/bandwidth...10/15mbps+.

Block the game if it's offline one.
If watching movie make sure the player isnt searching online for movie info. or player and codec updates.
Use utorrent, it won't mess with your other downloads or streaming.
