1. Budget?
A: INR 20k (somewhat flexible)
2. Preferred display size, type and resolution?
A: 4.7"-5.5", IPS LCD/AMOLED, 720p is okay, 1080p would be better. Good Protection - Gorilla Glass
3. Preferred operating system? (Android (with version), iOS, Windows Phone etc).
A: Android Kitkat (4.4) and above
4. Preferred connectivity options? (4G, 3G, 2G etc).
A: 3G, 4G would be an added advantage
5. Do you have any brand preference or dislike? Please name them.
A: No Chinese brands - I know thats not really logical but the phone is for my wife.
Should have good service network, good video shooting capability and sturdy build
6. What is your intended use for this phone (internet, camera, multimedia, mails etc.)?
A: Extensive Calling, email and shooting home videos and photos (indoor/low light). Casual Gaming
7. Single SIM/ Dual SIM?
A: Dual SIM
8. New or Used? Online or Offline?
A: New. Online only.
9. Any other requirements?
A: Good Call reception/Call audio quality, Good Camera for home video/photo shooting. Good battery backup and sturdy build.
10. If you have already considered a phone, then please mention the model
A: Xperia M4 Aqua dual. seems to be one of the few phones with good processing power + 2 Gigs RAM and expandable memory + Sony Exmor camera module is supposed to be very good. But recently read reviews about it saying the camera is not very good for video recording.
Current phone is Samsung Galaxy Quattro, which has just about okay BQ and a pathetic camera. Call reception is not stellar either. I would personally not prefer Samsung, would rather prefer Xiaomi Mi4i but my wife considers it to be a "china phone" + the SAR value is quite high. Considered Sony Z3 compact but its priced too high.
