    Hey guys,

I have an Oracle F80 800GB SSD from 2013 that I want to sell. You can find the specs here: http://www.oracle.com/us/products/servers-storage/storage/flash-storage/f80-ds-2043658.pdf

But the basics is that it's a Flash Accelerator for stuff like SQL databases even though I've also been using it as a gaming drive since I bought it.

    • It uses eMLC which is rated for 3DWPD for 3 years (2.628PB) but I've only written about 8.6TB to it.
    • The speeds are pretty much what you would expect from a first gen PCIe SSD.
    • It's plug and play in pretty much every OS.
    • You cannot boot from it.
    Here are the required pics.

Here are some screenshots for Disk info and speed.

It appears as 4 separate 200GB drives which I have used in Windows to make a stripped volume so I could use all the space at once. This reduces the available space to like 750GB.

I bought it for 1.5 lakhs but it's only worth like 17k now so that's what I'm asking for. It's limited to local pickup for now because I'll be travelling soon. But if it doesn't sell before the 19th I'll open it up to the rest of the country in Jan.

BTW the price is from what I calculated based on various factors like currently available price and stuff. If you guys think it's worth something else please let me know why and I will consider changing the price.

As it stands this is barely used even though the reads are high. SSDs have unlimited reads so go figure.

You know I thought this was a great price for the speed/usage/space. I'm open to suggestions on price revisions but they will need to be based on actual stats.

    Bump!

Bump! A new 800GB+ SSD will run you 19k+ and even then it's only SATA III performance.

    Bump

A new MX300 750GB will run you 17,765 but that's TLC and quite a bit slower.

My brother, who is currently residing in Bangalore might be interested in this.
Unfortunately, the menace of 'Pagdi' payments when renting an apartment in Bangalore has depleted his accounts. If this is here till his next salary, he might pick it up.
    Till then, GLWS.
