The sequel to the OnePlus One, dubbed OnePlus Two, is likely to sport a metal frame in contrast to the polycarbonate cover of the existing model.

The smartphone maker is working on incorporating premium features its next smartphone, reports Business Insider, quoting a knowledgeable source.

The metal frame is likely to make the One Plus Two costlier than the OnePlus One, which is available at a suggested retail price of £229 for the 16GB Silk White model and £269 for the 64GB storage variant in Sandstone Black.

The OnePlus Two, as reported previously, would be more customisable, as the company is aiming to produce a StyleSwap back cover around the same time the phone launches. The company released a bamboo-style back cover for the OnePlus One, which was discontinued later due to manufacturing issues.

OnePlus had promised to release the StyleSwap back cover in various materials such as wood, denim and Kevlar, but these have not been launched yet.

Although the new edition of the smartphone will be costlier, it would still be cheaper than off-contract high-end Android rivals. It is likely to cost less than $500.
