GST impact on monthly bills

Local cablewala increased the price by 18 %. As if the tax was 0 % before. Looks like he is hiding his price hike behind GST.

Internet bill to got a 3% hike from 15 % to 18 %. That was expected though.
 
If anything GST has only raised prices of everything. Just received my clubhouse bill for my society and the annual amount has shot up from 9.5k to 14.5k due to increase in basic costs plus GST @ 18% from earlier ST at 15%

In fact everywhere business and restaurants have increased prices further citing increased costs of doing business and rising input costs post GST plus the effect of most taxes shifting to a higher bracket under GST.

At this rate at which successive governments have been screwing the employed and salaried middle class under taxation burden.. This Govt will ensure the middle class will move to the "poor" class under their "pro poor" agenda and the truly poor will be perpetually indebted to Govt support schemes, voting for the parties that offer the most freebies and populist policies

Very true.

Also, they might be looting in the name of GST.

With GST implementation, the costs should have increased by about 3% at max, but then it's like that chap with an ICICI bank a/c who did a SIMEX without realising what he did, and is blaming it on Aadhar.

The poor actually get rich. Just look at Maha govt. Giving away free houses in multi storey towers in prime places to poor people who came from another state and lived on somebody's land for free. These same poor are selling off their free flats for 40+ lakhs and going to live in same shanties or chawls. These people don't even pay taxes to the govt and get such freebies. The middle class who pays taxes are kicked around. How many middle class people got free flats when their buildings collapsed? None. The most the govt did was announce 1-2 lakh payment.
Middle class has no value because we pay taxes quietly and keep voting like sheep to either congress or bjp.
