Yeah you read it, jot down those games that still make happy memories for you, games which you might have spent your entire childhood playing and mastering, or games whose incredible experience you JUST CANT FORGET. Let me start:
1. AOE II: The Conquerors
2. Rise Of Nations
3. Re-Volt
4. Trackmania Nations and then Forever
5. Team Fortress 2
6. Counter Strike Source(2005-2008)
7. Fifa 08(I only played 08, a LOT, then I got bored of future versions)
8. Crysis(playing around in the mod maps, amazing visuals, love it)
9. Left 4 Dead(love it!)
10. Mass Effect series
11. NFS Hot Pursuit reboot

DUKE F#$#%@ NUKEM ! : Still remember , hooking up a dial-up and scanning through the entire map for that 1 guy with whom I was playing 1 on 1. Ended up paying a hefty price and a long lecture from my dad. . in the end . .WORTH IT !!!

These are the games I've spent hours playing without having a clue of the time that's gone by:

1. Capitalism II

2. Caesar 3

3. Warcraft RTS

4. Pharoah

5. DotA

6. AOE II

7. Transport Tycoon

8. Rollercoaster Tycoon I & II (Roller coaster Tycoon 1 was my first original game that I'd bought)

9. RON

10. Age of Mythology

I'd so love to see a sequel made for each of these games. :(
 
oh oh.. there are so many...

it all started with the

1. Brick game (hand held device) : that my dad had bought when i was in 5th(some 14-15 years ago). i just fell in love with that game. made some very high score and still remember playing it for days as i could be paused in between for breaks. I also remember not allowing my bro to play with it for 1 week as my game was going on in it...:D

2. Video games: then after 1 year my dad bought a TV video game and man that was it. I knew i had a gamer in me.

a. Mario : I think this is the game in which i have spent most hours. Its the gr8est game ever made.

c. Brick

f. Tank 1942

h. Road Fighter : still remember superman flying through the left side.

i. j.k. the list is very long

Then came the PC which i bought a little late than others.

1. NFS 3 . This was my first pc game which i played thoroughly. Loved it.

2. AOE 2 : Oh Man. My Second PC game and i got addicted. This game never ends

3. Re-Volt: I am still w8ing for next version of this game

4. Counter-Strike : When i moved from the dial up connection to internet through LAN cable my whole world changed as i was exposed to LAN gaming for the first time and straight away got hooked to this game. The craze never stopped.

5. IGI : No words

6. Call of Duty : Big fan of the series

7. Max Payne

8. Max Payne 2 :

9. EA Cricket series

10. NFS underground

11. NFS UG2

12. Age of Mythology

13. NFS MW

14. NFS Carbon.

15. COD 4

16. GRID

17. Assassin's Creed Series

18. Dirt 2

19. Crysis

20. Add Half life, GTA series and road rash to it and that was it more or less where i spent most of the time gaming....
 
These were the games which left a deep impression on me and I still cherish those memories. Maybe I had a greater connection with these games because I was still a kid back then.

So how many of you were Gaming Parlour addicts? And I mean the ones with arcade machines which required a 1 rupee coin to play.

My favorite arcade games were Mustafa, Brain Lara Cricket 97 or 99 (Dont remember which one it was), Tekken 3 and ofcourse Street Fighter. Mostly I played Tekken 3. To end tekken with one character from just one coin was a major sense of accomplishment. I miss the old simple days.

1) Battletoads. (Nintendo/Media Game)

This one came out on nintendo. How i used to beg for the game from one friend and converter from another.

They made this game to counter the TMNT game, and made it so frickkin tough.. still havent been able to clear it :cursing:

2) Cadillacs and Dinosaurs. (SLOT Machine) ( All the 1 rupee coins went to this one. Not to mention the higher denomination notes as well)

3) Doom. (PC)

4) Blood. (PC)

Street fighter and mortal kombat were there ofc, but were just the silly button mashing games.

Liked the Chip n Dale game better for the fun factor involved in the mp category.
 
Will sum it up with three:

1. Mario 1. [first game which really interested me, and had the coin collection system to garner a 1UP. I owe my spectacles to this one]

2. Contra 1. [first shooter probably / and showed the beauty of double play]

3. Doom. [first FPS -- what more can I say]

I guess after the above three, the virus was too embedded, to matter after that.
