The information given by Croma is incorrect. This drive does require external power supply and adapter is quite heavy too. The drive itself tilt scale at 1 kg.

Yeah i read that thing yesterday itself, but it is a desk drive not a portable one. Further i also checked it on amazon and it requires a power adapter. Here is the link of amazon

Anyways, i have already ordered the buffalo drive for 3699/- let's see how does it goes
