Audio eaphone under 4k that doesn't need a portable amp to sound good

My brainwavz earphone stopped working so looking for something to replace it.
Was thinking about sound magic E80 but some reviews say it has a tiring treble emphasis.Also many have questioned the longevity of soundmagic products.Some say it needs a seperate amp to really shine and the lack of a remote to change tracks playing on the phone is an added disadvantage.Have also considered the kplisch reference R6 but they cost nearly twice as much.Also other worthwhile options in this price range ??
 
I own SoundMAGIC E80 & using them from last 5 months. These are awesome earphones. Guaranteed Bang for your buck. Mids are forward and detailed and the bass extension is excellent. Treble is airy and involving. Overall truly marvellous earphones!
