Just wondered if anybody ever thought about this.

I keep my system running for 12 hours daily but I'm not actively using at a stretch of 12 hours. Many times it goes into deep sleep mode where cpu, gpu, ram, harddrives etc. all stop working until I wake the system back.

During this time psu resists the current from passing on to the components.
Does this resistance to restrict supply causes any damage to the psu slowly and hampers its overall quality and life (its inside components like capacitors, transistors, transformers etc.)

Also many times during sleep mode the electricity goes off etc. then how much damage actually occurs in the background to the dear PSU?
