If the laptop is being imported, then custom duty is 14.712 %..

However, one laptop is allowed as part of baggage duty free if brought by any passenger of the age of 18 years and above while returning from abroad.

because unboxing a new laptop is half the fun. will feel second hand if no box and packaging also my cat likes to play with the bubble wrap later

I don't think laptops nowadays has bubble wrap. At least not in the 4 ones I unboxed so far this year. From 3 different companies.
