Hi!

I am an Architect. I do a lot of content creation and have slight inclination towards gaming as well.
I love to play LoL, FPS like Battlefield, CoD etc, FIFA and most importantly NFS.

I have fixed a budget of 75K for my CPU. I wish to have the following things :
  • i7 7th generation processor (preferably Kabylake i7 7700K with Z270 motherboard)
  • 16Gb RAM (8x2)
  • 256Gb SSD
  • A good graphic card preferably DDR5 with 4Gb+ memory (Here I can compromise, but my Games should run properly at 1080p)
  • 1TB hard disk
  • Liquid cooling to over cloak my i7 to 5.0Ghz +
  • Any compatible cabinet
  • Any compatible power supply
I live in New Delhi and visit Nehru Place almost everyday as my office is very near.
Just want to know the right parts that fits all this in my fixed and tight budget of 75K.

Requesting all the pro tech advisers on this platform for a solution to my RIG.
Pleaseeeee help !!!!!!
Thanks a lot in advance.

In this times why would you go towards Intel, AMD would be a more viable and VFM option

Hi!
Actually I haven't explored in AMD and ATI at all.
I have assumed that both AMD and Intel offer same technologies at almost similar prices.
So I decided to go for Intel. Can you suggest me any RYZEN processor that defeats i7 7700K in INR 24K?
Thanks.

Bro I want to go with the top of the line processor for my work.
AMD Ryzen 7 1800x is giving a serious competition to i7 7700K.
But see the price. There is a huge difference. i7 is cheaper and better as well.

So I want to go with Intel only.

Now that is funny, unless overclocking 1700 is the best best, games not sure, but AMD is giving you 8-16 cores, Intel is giving you 4-8 cores, do check out some multi threading benchmarks

Unless you have a fixation with Intel, AMD is a serious contender as well.

Secondly, stop referring garbage - look at sites like Anandtech and Tomshardware for your news.

What software do you plan to use? Anything that is optimized for multiple cores would benefit from a Ryzen 1700X which roughly costs the same as the 7700K. You don't need to spend 10k more for an 1800X.
However as far as single core performance and clock speed favoring applications go (including most games), nothing is going to beat the 7700K with its high clock speed including Intel's own 6/8 core HEDT CPU's.

So, sort out your priorities and choose the CPU based on that. You also need to consider the consider the cost of the motherboard and not just the CPU.

Yes, I wish to use Autodesk Revit. It doesn't need multiple cores but more speed on a single core. Which is the reason why I am going for i7 7700K. And since I will but this processor, I have to get it's compatible Z270 motherboard. SO the processor is final. Now I need help on this forum to tell me a config in 75K with SSD , Z270 motherboard and a decent quality graphic card. Come'on my budget for just the CPU is nt less. Please help !!!!

No brother! The application that I will intend to use the most is Autodesk Revit, and it doesn't need multiple cores. I needs more speed on single core. That's why i7 7700K. Not interested in Ryzen at all.

Please check the hardware requirements for Auto desk Revit https://www.pugetsystems.com/recomm...r-Autodesk-Revit-171/Hardware-Recommendations

I don't think specifically Intel hardware is suited as it is specified that processors up to 16 physical cores are supported.

So the latest AMD Ryzen Processors will perfectly suit otherwise Intel Processors is the only way to go.

Ya ! It is clearly written in the link that for modelling purpose, single core frequency is more important. Which is the reason by i& 7700K over Ryzen. I don't care much about rendering. Can compromise in that area. :)

then go with the following:

Overclocking RIG
Budget -83.7K

Intel Core i7 7700K -28700,
Asus Z270-K -13000,
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB(8GBx2) 3000Mhz -10000,
Antec VP550P -4000,
Corsair Carbide SPEC-01 -3500,
Asus GTX1050Ti 4GB Phoenix Edition -11400,
WD Caviar Blue 1TB -3300,
LG 22MP68VQ-P 22" LED IPS -9000,
Logitech MK200 -800.
TOTAL -83,700.

Non-Overclocking RIG
Budget -75.3K

Intel Core i7 7700 -25000,
Asus Prime 250-Plus -8300,
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB(8GBx2) 3000Mhz -10000,
Antec VP550P -4000,
Corsair Carbide SPEC-01 -3500,

WD Caviar Blue 1TB -3300,
LG 22MP68VQ-P 22" LED IPS -9000,
Logitech MK200 -800.
TOTAL -75,300.

I suggest you go with Non-Overclocking RIG.

I think pudget has not updated for AMD, but then its not my money.

What I would suggest you to do is opt for a workstation board if possible over a consumer grade. It will allow you to go with Xeons if needed.

Guys thanks for your suggestions. What I could figure out finally is that my budget of 75K is less with an i7 7700K processor. A perfect rig is the one which has all components of a an equivalent level. So I have listed all my dream parts and found that the CPU alone will cost around 1 Lakh.
If I compromise a little bit on few of the components I have been able to go for a min 88K config.

Have to take the decision now. May be graphics card I will but later.

Attaching both the two options.
Let's see-A.jpg
Let's see-B.jpg

You can still save a bit by going with the Hyper 212 cooler instead of the H80i. Performance Delta should not be much between the two but will save you ~3K

Go with the following config:

Budget -95K

Intel Core i7 7700K -28700,
Asus Z270-Mark 2 -13700,
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB(8GBx2) 3000Mhz -10000,
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Turbo -3000,
Antec VP550P -4000,
Corsair Carbide SPEC-01 -3500,
Asus GTX1050Ti 4GB Phoenix Edition -11400,
WD Caviar Blue 1TB -3300,
Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD -7600,
LG 22MP68VQ-P 22" LED IPS -9000,
Logitech MK200 -800.
TOTAL -95,000.

Don't go with EVGA PSU as it doesn't have warranty in India. All other vendors PSU's are at present costly due to GST. Go with GTX1050 Ti 4GB which will reduce the total cost eventually.

If you're not in a hurry to build the rig I should have a kit of 16GB 2666 Vengeance RED & a H100i GTX on sale by next month, probably the Phantom 410 case too - but Mumbai Sale only
