Converting telephone line to Ethernet cable

Is there any way we can convert normal cat 3 four wires telephone cable to Ethernet cable...

I need my existing secondary concealed telephone wiring as a LAN cable

AFA I researched 4 wire can support upto 2 mbps only..

Also couldn't find any rj11 to 45 converter..
So crimping needs to be done I guess

Has anybody tried this..
Or any inputs regarding the feasibility

Yes this is possible. I have done this 7-8 years back.
Crimping is very imp part when you crimp the cable. You may able to achieve 10 Mbps max depends on the wire quality.
Also you might need to set manually half duplex 10 Mbps on both ends . this is rare but if link failed after connecting you can try this option .

But where do I get the crimping done ..
I don't think a normal electrician would do it

This is possible, 4wire Ethernet cable should also be available in market.

Found one ISP which provides internet for CableTV provider using such cable.
Only 4wires and Cat5 printed all over it.

I've used a cat 6 cable and rewired it since the other cable was giving too much attenuation. If possible lay your cable about 2cm away from any other cable from the distribution box. My signal strength went from 9% to 100%. Cable management is the key.
