Catalyst 8.6 Released !!

Link to driver page in first post.

The Tech Report said:
As it does every month, AMD has released a new set of Catalyst drivers for its Radeon graphics cards. This latest Catalyst 8.6 release brings a plethora of new features, performance improvements and bug fixes.

Among those new features, Radeon HD users will find support for custom adaptive anti-aliasing filters in OpenGL games, and users of Radeon HD 3850, 3870, and 3870 X2 cards will find support for three- and four-GPU CrossFire modes in OpenGL titles. In addition, AMD has modified its Catalyst driver installer so users no longer have to reboot after a driver update. We would guess this particular feature only works in Windows Vista, because of Microsoft's revamped driver model, but AMD doesn't mention any operating system restrictions.

GeForce Release 175

WHQL 175.19 available for both Xp and Vista released on 23rd June??????????

Why would they release these if the 177 is already out 1 week earlier?

If you enter 8800GT in the nvidia site, it shows you these drivers instead of 177.

Any info?

Catalyst 8.7 beta leaked

First found by the guys @ pctreiber.net, the Catalyst 8.7 beta version now available contains the 8.520 version display driver (Catalyst 8.6 comes with 8.501), is dated June 25th and features support for almost every Radeon-branded card since the days of the 9500 plus the recently-released Radeon HD 4800 cards:

Catalyst 8.7 beta WinXP

Catalyst 8.7 beta WinVista

Re: Recently released ATI Catalyst & nVidia Forceware drivers

The WHQL 8.7 drivers're out; :)

Note that there's a slight performance drop compared to the 8.7 beta ones;

Re: Recently released ATI Catalyst & nVidia Forceware drivers

Hope this fixes the weird white line issues which used to come up randomly in some games & in Media Player Classic while playing Widescreen videos.
