Monitors 32" Monitor for Programming/Gaming

Hi,

I use a dual 24" setup at work (developer) and have gotten pretty used to it. So much so that working on a single screen setup simply seems annoying now. Unfortunately, the computer table at my home isn't big enough to house 2 monitors so I have opted to go for a bigger screen so I have some decent screen estate.

I have shortlisted 2 monitors -
A Dell

An Acer

My first choice is the Dell as I use Dell monitors at work and I like them. However, the Dell has a max resolution of 1920 x 1080 whereas the Acer has a max resolution of 2560 x 1440 and seems future proof. I will be gaming at 1920 x 1080 for the foreseeable future as I have a pretty old rig (i7-4700k, GTX 760 and 16 GB DDR3), but I might upgrade in a year or two, in which case I would prefer to reserve most of my budget for a powerful CPU rather than spending again on a monitor. Is the difference in resolution really going to make that much of a difference? Which of these brands has a better after sales service?

Budget: ₹20k
Reason: Current monitor has gone kaput.

Thoughts?
