Thanks for information OP. I was on 1299 plan with 40 mbps/250 GB FUP. Now switched to 699 :) Though I had 250 GB monthly cap my usage rarely crossed 150 GB. So unlimited data does not change much but a price reduction is always welcome.

Root is not necessary. Most likely MIUI updates will flash those apps again. Anyway as the process is quick and easy it should not be a major hassle to do it after every update.

Its because people abuse discount coupons by swapping multiple SIMs to get cheap rides. I guess they keep track of mobile numbers per IMEI and apply ban hammer periodically. As dual-sim,dual-account user you may have inadvertently triggered their abuse policy.
