As some of you might be aware I was in the market for a wifi router that wouldn't break the bank. I was, however looking for a router that was capable of running modded firmware such as Tomato.

I was initially leaning towards the Linksys WRT54GL but its price kind of put me off. I then spotted the WRT54G-TM selling on eBay and after doing some research I noticed that not only was it a rebadged WRT54G capable of running DD-WRT & Tomato, but it also had twice as much RAM and Flash as the WRT54GL (32MB RAM/8MB Flash)!

So, it ended up being a no-brainer that this was the router for me.

Nice, but u should've got the new ASUS with usb port. The possibilities of modding are endless with the ASUS one.

Heh, I'm not a hardcore modder. I just have Tomato loaded on DD-WRT - that will suffice for me.
