Hi, friends.....!! I've done a minor project for my semester. Now I need to submit that project to college in a CD/DVD. But for classy purpose and look nice I want to submit it in mini DVD's :). I've bought a mini DVD. But nero is unable to burn it :(. I googled a lot but couldn't find any way out to how to burn a mini DVD. Please suggest. Is there any special way to burn mini DVD's/CD's???

hi i haven`t tried any mini dvd. i don`t think that nero has any issue. Which version of nero are you using and what about your writer. try a different burner. ashampoo etc.

Alternatively create an image of the mini dvd contents to be written, using magic iso, ultra iso etc. then try burning the image.

by the way what error are you getting when you try to write to the mini dvd??

I'm using LG GH22NS50 and Nero 8 provided with the drive.

I'm getting something like "Disc burning failed at Disc-At-Once method"

Ill provide detail information about this at morning.

Well.......I'll try other burning softwares as well and report it here. I've also tried burning it with windows explorer(copy and burn method).

Hi friends, I have also tried CDBurnerXP, and the result is same. The burn process fails after some sec's saying the burn process is not successfull.

Well....I want to know is there any mistake that I've done from my side?? I mean can data's be burned in to mini DVD's?? Or is those only for handy cams?? When I went to the shop to buy that DVD, the shopkeeper told me "Why are you bying this DVD?? This DVD's are used for Hand Cam's". Is there any other type of mini DVD's on which I can burn data?? Or all the mini DVD's are for Handy Cams???

Mini DVDs are just smaller DVDs with 8cm diameter and having a lesser storage capacity. They do not need any special procedures for burning. Make sure that the problem is not with the DVD writer. Check by burning the same contents on a routine DVD and see if the burn process completes.

P.S: Make sure that you use very low speed for burning - maybe 8x - because sometimes burning at high speeds could also be the cause of the error.

Have you tried burning regular DVDs? Are they burning properly?

Maybe something wrong with your mini-dvd. Check it's info. Confirm if there's free space on it. Nero 6 can burn mini-dvd's. I don't see why 7, 8, 9 cannot.

Yes I checked normal CD's and DVD's they are working fine. The problem seems to be with this miniDVD. I also tried different burning softwares in different OS. I speed at which I'm able to burn that miniDVD is 2X. I don't know what's the problem. Is there any other way out?? Or should I throw that DVD in dustbin??? :(

Thanks guys...!! :)

@archat68 Ya......I was also thinking that.

@Rockfella I tried nero, cdburnerxp, imgburn. Now thinking of trying UltraISO. If that also fails I'll try it on another two or three machine. If that also fails next day jamadar will pick it up from dustbin......!! :)

Hiiiiiii..........I tried all the options but no positive result. I think the DVD itself is faulty. May be I should try another DVD. I'll report it here after trying another one.

Thanks friends for all your suggestion and help. :)
