Are you the one who belongs to school of thinking as per whom a medium class person does not deserves a car?
@bits I would say look at Santro/Wagon R, you can also look for the Wagon R Duo model.

I am of the school that says cycling is a heck lot cheaper and faster(depending on city) of getting from A to B

If you want a cheapest maintanance, you have first choice Maruti, second is Maruti and third Maruti.......
If you are single and want to enjoy life , get a new 800 or an alto. Only petrol.
these should serve you minimum 10 years if you are a good driver...

Err.. another option is..since it seems you want great bang for your buck...wait for the first quarter 2010...some good options are lined up...micra maybe (its nissan so ageing will be slow)...else go for ritz or alto (ritz looks better tho)..if u wanted to use it for 3 yrs i would have suggested spark...its a fun car and comes with 3 yrs maintence...but then its a chevy.

continuing the trend and jumping in the query...
Which is of these two is better Chevy Spark v/s Maruti A-Star.
Only city driven by lady and senior citizen to be converted in to the CNG from day 1.
