Hi guys! I have x2 550BE 0922APMW processor. It successfully unlocked to x4 B50 on TA790GXB A2+(thanx to dOm1naTOr). Now i want an am3 board which can unlock this. I was planning on Giga GA-MA770T-UD3P. Unfortunately no stocks anywhere. Can Asus M4A785TD-V EVO unlock this beast. Guys i cant take chances. I need 100% success.
Also suggest me nice 1600mhz ddr3 ram kits.

Asus M4A785TD-V EVO can unlock as it has SB710. But it doesn't support 1600MHz RAM at stock.
You can check G.Skill ripjaws/Corsair/OCZ Titanium 1600MHz kit for your need.

None do. Thats the chipset fault. Even on a X58, you need to manually set the speed to 1600+,else it will just keep them at 1333.
Anyways, my brother is coming from the US in jan, so if you can w8 till then i can get you RAM frm there...

almost all 785 chipset mobos have matx design.make sure u get a atx mobo.if u r getting a 5850 it will waste atleast one pci slot for sure with a matx mobo.
as u know i hav a ta785ge 128m.icant use one of the pci slot.installed a tv tuner on next slot very near to the GPU fan.
so it will be better to get a 790GX atx mobo with good layout :)

BIOS has options of only upto 1333. Anyway a nice 1600ddr3 can do extreme tight timings @ 1333 and is surelly lot better than normal loose timing 1333 modules.
Also you can OC the mem clock, but by increasing the CPU clock from 200. The mem divided milti by setting 1333 will be 6.6X. So for every 1mhz increment in cpu clock, ram will be oced by 6.6, ie 6 mhz.
Setting at 242 mhz will make the rams run at 1600.
Anyway i wont recommend ocing with such high cpu clocks as it affects the idle power consumption in CnQ. The idle clock of 800 becomes 968 and if HT multiplier isnt lowered, it causes unstability.

so what did you do finally? I'm also considering getting a DDR III 1600 along with 785 EVO. If it wont run em at 1600 without problems then might go for other board. Also is it better to buy Ripjaws locally for 6-7k ish or via kmd?
also why does theitdepot say 3 years warranty? I thought ripjaws was lifetime limited warrantly?
dunno if right place to ask.. didnt want to create new thread for similar query...

Any luck on unlocking with the stock BIOS of ur new 785 EVO?
The proccy has been tested and is 100% unlockabe. I ve tested it right, by replacing mine and it booted in B50 in oced clocks, w/o any issues. did some stability tests for 20 mins, and i booted back with my B50.
its a guaranteed B50 bro....
and btw @ sultanofswing
he got the EVO, ripjaws everythin. Might be busy with the system rite now :)
