Old proccy mobo and gpu sold to a needy person.

Now have zebby bijli cabby, 19in viewsonic lcd, circle mouse/keyboard, altec lancing vs4121, 160+80gb sata st.

New system will be used for 3dmax and adobe premiere.

Upgrading on a tight budget of 25k.

VX 450- 4k
xfx 9800gt- 5.8k (is galaxy also good?)
ddr3 transcend 2gb - 2.7k

now help me on processor on mobo combo.
P.S: suggest something better than athlon 620 as it doesnt have L3 cache.

Transcend 2gb DDR3 1333 - 2.6k
Corsair CX 400 - 3.1k
ATI 4870 512mb - 8.6k ( 1000 times better than 9800gt )

Total - 24.1k

You can unlock Phenom II x2 550 to Phenom II x4 955 with right proccy batch nos.

ATI 4850 512mb - 6.5k (for a 19" this would suffice. No need to spend extra)

Unlocking a PhenomII 550BE is not 100% guaranteed. So a phenomII X3 720 wil provide you the extra core and also extra cache

3d work needs to have a quad core, coz an extra core does makes a lot of difference.
Now 720be is shifted with its 4th core disabled. (i got new 720 so unlucky)
And 550 not guaranted too.

so suggest any quad in amd other than and better than 620
