I just moved to a new office and have some decent space and would like an economical stereo setup. So I found the Polk audio monitor 50's on sale ($85) each. I found a used NAD C315BEE for $200 so that should be decent. Maximum usage would be XM/iPod/Pandora. ohh, the question: Are these polks recommended? I am no audiophile but I like crisp and clear audio and tight bass. I listen to a lot of trance and metalcore(there's a lot of fast double bass in this kind of music)

Cambridge Audio S30, the best passives under 20K if you're not looking for floor-shaking bass (that usually comes at the price of clarity). Usher Audio S520 for budgets up to 30K.

Too late. Already bought the polks. Thanks for the replies though.
